A group of journalists from the People's Republic of China and five Central Asian countries visited the YTO Express sorting center in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The press tour was organized by the leading Chinese newspaper People's Daily as part of strengthening information and economic cooperation between the countries in the region.
As reported by the event organizers, the participants were introduced to the work of a high-tech logistics complex capable of processing up to 6,000 parcels per hour. It is noted that the average delivery time of shipments from China to Kazakhstan is only seven days, which demonstrates a high level of optimization of cross-border logistics processes.
The joint project of the Chinese company YTO Express and the Kazakh national operator QazPost was launched in June 2024 and in a short time ensured the deployment of a wide courier delivery network in Kazakhstan. Currently, there are about 100 pick-up points in the cities of Almaty and Astana, which process over 30 thousand parcels daily.
As part of the initiative, YTO Express is implementing the construction of the Central Asian logistics hub in Almaty, which should become an important element of the region's transport and logistics infrastructure. Special attention is paid to the creation of new jobs and professional training of local personnel.
Participants in the press tour emphasized that the development of the logistics industry not only contributes to increased delivery efficiency, but also to strengthening trust, expanding openness and deepening dialogue between the countries of the region and China.
The visit to the YTO Express logistics center became a symbol of a new stage of Chinese-Central Asian cooperation – dynamic, technological and mutually beneficial, concluded representatives of the media community.
