Since the beginning of 2025, employees of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) of Russia have expelled more than 19,000 foreign citizens and stateless persons from the country. This was reported to Interfax by the press service of the agency.
"Over the four months of this year, 19.1 thousand foreign citizens and stateless persons were forcibly deported. For comparison, 21.7 thousand people were deported over the same period in 2024," the service noted.
The decrease in the number of deported migrants, according to representatives of the Federal Bailiff Service of the Russian Federation, is due to the effect of the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, which provides for temporary measures to regulate the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the territory of the Russian Federation. The decree makes it possible to legalize stay in the country until September 10, 2025.
As the department recalled, in 2024 the total number of deported foreign citizens exceeded 88 thousand people.
