In May of this year, employees of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption held a series of meetings with activists and residents of the Dangara, Muminabad and Khovaling districts in the cities and districts of the Kulyab region of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the agency.

The aim of the events was to increase the legal literacy of the population and involve the public in issues of combating corruption, as well as to explain the provisions of national legislation and the state's anti-corruption policy.
During the meetings, agency representatives presented reports explaining the provisions of legislation on the prevention of corruption, terrorism, extremism and illegal drug trafficking. Particular attention was paid to issues of preventing the involvement of young people in the activities of radical organizations, as well as changes in legislation concerning the illegal use of electricity.
“Such events are aimed at developing an anti-corruption culture, increasing legal awareness and legal responsibility of citizens, and ensuring the implementation of state programs for the prevention of offenses,” the agency emphasized.
It is noted that the meetings took place in an atmosphere of open dialogue with the participation of local residents, representatives of local government bodies and youth activists.
