In connection with the International High-Level Conference on Glacier Conservation, which will be held in Dushanbe from May 29 to 31, traffic in the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan will be temporarily restricted. This was reported by the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Dushanbe.
As specified by the department, the restrictions will affect the city's key highways – Mastongulov Street (in the direction of the airport), A. Donish, S. Aini (Sadbarg district), as well as Rudaki, Ismoili Somoni and H. Sherozi Avenues.

In this regard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on drivers to plan their route in advance, use parallel streets and refrain from stopping and parking vehicles in the specified areas during the conference.
The International Conference on Glacier Conservation is being held within the framework of the International Year of Glacier Conservation, declared on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and supported by more than 150 UN member states. The forum will be attended by over 2,200 representatives of foreign countries, international organizations, the scientific community and environmental organizations. The conference is expected to become an important stage in global efforts to combat the effects of climate change.
