In the villages of Khudzhagarav and Ravot in the Penjikent district of the Sughd region, work is underway to improve infrastructure – a drinking water supply line is being laid and a rural medical center is being overhauled. This was reported by the city administration.
According to the city administration, work has begun on laying a drinking water pipeline over two kilometers long in the village of Khudzhagarav, Amondara jamoat. The project is being implemented with the support of local authorities, as well as with the active participation of foreign entrepreneurs and local residents.



As it became known, a vertical well was drilled on the bank of the Zarafshon River, from where water flows through pipes into a special covered reservoir. At the next stage, water will be supplied directly to the residential buildings of the village. At the moment, well drilling work has been carried out, power lines have been laid and pipes have been laid to the first reservoir. The total cost was over one million somoni.
In parallel, a project for the capital repair and modernization of the rural medical center is being implemented in the village of Ravot. The repair is being carried out within the framework of cooperation with international development partners. Currently, contractors are performing finishing works.




The rural medical center will include ten rooms for the reception, diagnosis and treatment of patients. After completion of all work, the institution will be equipped with modern medical equipment. It is planned that 12 medical workers will provide medical services to residents of the village of Ravot and nearby settlements.
Local authorities emphasize that the implementation of such projects helps improve living conditions in rural areas and increase the population’s access to clean water and quality medical services.
