The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin held a meeting in Dushanbe with the High Commissioner of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) on National Minorities Christoph Kamp. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
As noted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the conversation the parties discussed in detail the current state and prospects for cooperation within the framework of the OSCE "human dimension", paying special attention to issues of ensuring the rights and freedoms of national minorities, interethnic harmony, as well as issues of social integration.
Sirojiddin Mukhriddin emphasized the commitment of the Republic of Tajikistan to the OSCE principles, including ensuring the rule of law, respect for human rights and strengthening intercultural dialogue. In turn, Christoph Kamp noted Tajikistan's active participation in relevant OSCE events and expressed readiness to continue to support the implementation of projects aimed at developing an inclusive society and maintaining interethnic peace and harmony.
The interlocutors confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation and implementing joint programs in the area of protecting the rights of national minorities, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
