Several road accidents with serious consequences have been recorded in Tajikistan over the past week, resulting in three deaths and several injuries, the Tatarstan Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
On May 8, 2025, at about 05:30 in the morning on the Dushanbe-Khujand-Channok highway, the driver of a Hyundai Tucson, 45-year-old resident of Khujand Gayrattozoda Parviz, drove into the oncoming traffic lane and collided with a Daewoo Labo, driven by 37-year-old resident of Bobojon Gafurov district Kholmatov Tokhirjon Inomovich. The driver of the Daewoo Labo received serious injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the Hyundai and his passenger, 40-year-old resident of Khujand Umarov Khurshed, were hospitalized in serious condition.
On May 13 at approximately 20:00 in the Kushoniyon district, an Opel Astra car driven by 21-year-old Pulatov Muminjon Toirjonovich collided with a moped driven by 45-year-old resident of the Khuroson district Kobilov Farkhod Khudoyberdievich. His son, 18-year-old Kobilov Hamza Farkhodovich, was with him. Both were seriously injured and taken to the hospital, but the young man died some time later.
On May 14, at about 06:00 in the morning in the Asht district, the driver of the Hyundai Porter, 49-year-old resident of the Asht district, Dovutkulov Nazirkul Mamatkulovich, hit a pedestrian, 79-year-old donkey driver Kamolov Tursunboy, on the highway of the village of Khudzhamberdiyev. The man died at the scene of the accident.
All facts of the accident are under investigation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan reports.
