More than 7,000 students from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries are studying in Tajikistan, which indicates significant progress in expanding educational cooperation within this international association. This was announced by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahim Saidzoda at the annual conference of the SCO University.
According to the Minister, the creation of a single educational space, the development of joint educational programs and faculties, as well as the implementation of various projects of common interest to the participating countries, serve as important steps towards achieving the ambitious goals of the SCO in the field of education and science.
Saidzoda stressed the importance of expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation and strengthening both bilateral and multilateral ties in these areas. He noted that the development of the SCO Network University has become a significant step towards deepening cooperation, which will allow not only to develop scientific and educational interaction within the participating countries, but also beyond their borders.
Currently, more than 7,000 students from SCO member states are studying in Tajikistan, and more than 36,000 citizens of Tajikistan are studying in universities of other member states of the organization. These figures demonstrate the successful implementation of educational initiatives and the strengthening of mutual exchange of experience among students and scientists of the SCO countries.
