The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli, the Chairman of the City of Dushanbe Rustami Emomali visited the Akia Avesto Automotive Industry enterprise, where they took part in the ceremony of commissioning the first batch of 30 domestically produced Akia Nero electric buses. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
Modern electric buses, fully compliant with European standards, are equipped with heating and air conditioning systems, six video surveillance cameras and two information monitors. The vehicle is designed for 32 seats, and its total passenger capacity reaches 100 people. A full charge of 350 kWh batteries is enough to cover up to 300 kilometers. The warranty on batteries and electrical components is 600 thousand kilometers or eight years of operation.
As President Emomali Rahmon noted, the introduction of electric buses into operation is an important and timely step in modernizing urban public transport and improving the quality of passenger transportation. During the visit, he also launched the construction of a new production line at the enterprise.






A modern charging station has been created at the municipal enterprise “Avtobus-1” to service electric buses.
The joint Tajik-Turkish enterprise Akia Avesto Automotive Industry began operations in January 2018 and became the first manufacturer of buses and electric buses in Tajikistan. Since its foundation, the enterprise has produced over 500 vehicles, including buses with internal combustion engines, electric buses and trolleybuses of various modifications. The buses are equipped with engines and transmissions from leading German companies – Mercedes-Benz and Zahnrad Fabrik.
Since 2019, the company has launched serial production of eight-meter Akia Oriyo buses and Akia Nero electric buses. All products of the enterprise comply with international standards Euro-5 and Euro-6.
The company employs more than 200 highly qualified specialists who have completed training and advanced training courses.




On the instructions of the head of state, it is planned to completely transfer public transport in Dushanbe to electric traction by 2028. President Emomali Rahmon instructed to expand the production of electric buses taking into account the needs of other cities in the country.
It is also noted that domestic buses and electric buses produced by Akia Avesto Automotive Industry are already successfully presented not only in the domestic market, but also abroad. Analysis shows that the operating costs of electric buses are 9-10 times lower compared to diesel analogues.
The President of Tajikistan highly appreciated the contribution of the enterprise and the Dushanbe mayor's office to the industrialization of the country and the implementation of the policy to transform Tajikistan into a "green" country.
