The Organizing Committee and the jury summed up the results of the selection round of the International Olympiad in Humanities and Social Sciences for schoolchildren from the CIS countries, the press service of the Organization's Executive Committee reports.
The Olympiad was held in two subjects: Russian language and social science.
In Russian, 110 schoolchildren became winners and prize winners, and in social studies, 77 students representing Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Winners and prize winners of the first stage of the Olympiad are invited to participate in the final round, which will be held in a mixed format. In the final of the competition, schoolchildren will have to write an essay.
The qualifying round of the International Olympiad in Humanities and Social Sciences for schoolchildren of the CIS countries was held from December 15, 2024 to April 1, 2025. It was attended by 1,778 schoolchildren from eight Commonwealth states.
The organizer of the Olympiad was the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS, co-organizers were the Kulyab State University named after Abuabdulloh Rudaki, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin, the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.I. Herzen, the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, the Saratov State Law Academy and the North-West Institute of Management of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
