The State Unitary Enterprise for Seed Production named after Abdulvokhid Nazirov in the Faizabad district this year sowed various crops on 320 hectares of irrigated arable land, of which 164 hectares were sown with potatoes, reports NIAT Khovar.
Director of the State Unitary Enterprise for Seed Production Inomdzhon Sharipov reported that this year the enterprise provided residents of the district and various regions of the country with 400 tons of various potato seeds.
“Due to the fact that the climate of this region is suitable for growing potatoes, the enterprise is obliged to provide potato growers of the Faizabad district, other cities and regions of the country with high-quality seeds,” Inomjon Sharipov summed up.
The enterprise has 6951 hectares of land at its disposal, of which 320 hectares are irrigated, 118 hectares are dry land, 820 hectares are gardens, 4723 hectares are pastures, and 762 hectares are other lands. 1486 residents of the district have concluded contracts with the enterprise and are engaged in growing agricultural products on these lands as tenants.
This year, the State Unitary Enterprise for Seed Production named after Abdulvokhid Nazirov and its tenants are growing the Evolution and Aladdin potato varieties, as well as red and white Pakistani potatoes, which are suitable for the region’s climate and produce a rich harvest.
In 2024-2025, the enterprise, together with its tenants, produced and exported almost three thousand tons of potatoes.
