In response to the situation that has developed in the Middle East in recent days, Turkmenistan has promptly ensured unimpeded use of its airspace for foreign airlines forced to change routes.
Aircraft of FlyDubai (UAE), Jazeera Airways (Kuwait), S7 Airlines (Russia) and other aircraft carrying passengers from Central Asia, the Middle East, India, Russia and other countries were given the opportunity to land at Ashgabat International Airport.
Passengers were provided with three hot meals a day and access to medical care. The crews were provided with conditions for a full rest in accordance with international civil aviation standards.
Thus, Turkmenistan confirms its commitment to humanitarian principles, international law and the policy of positive neutrality, showing solidarity and support in difficult international situations.
