The commercial vehicle manufacturing plant QazTehna LLP, located in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan, has become one of the shining examples of successful cooperation between China and Kazakhstan within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. This was reported to journalists by representatives of the enterprise during a visit by a delegation of media from Central Asian countries and China, organized by the leading Chinese publication Renmin Ribao.
The tour of the plant's production workshops was conducted by the managing director of QazTehna LLP Roman Krivopalenko. He emphasized that the enterprise has a full-fledged assembly line, allowing it to produce up to four buses per day. "We assemble buses literally from scratch. Today, the localization level is 36%, and our goal is to increase it to 50% by September 2025," Krivopalenko noted. According to him, this will be achieved by launching new facilities on the plant's territory, designed to produce components.

The QazTehna project is being implemented on a territory of 12 hectares (120,000 square meters). The plant's capacity allows it to produce up to 1,000 Yutong buses annually, as well as up to 200 units of construction equipment. Currently, the enterprise employs about 1,000 people, most of whom are residents of nearby settlements.
Representatives of the Chinese company Yutong Bus Co., Ltd., a strategic partner of QazTehna, said that this project was an important milestone in expanding their presence in the region and brought cooperation with Kazakhstan to a new level. "Production in Karaganda is not only the supply of products, but also the transfer of technology, management experience and the development of human capital," the company said in a statement.

There is a corporate university on the plant's premises, where employees undergo training and improve their qualifications. This ensures a high level of training for specialists and the introduction of modern production methods.
According to the company, the project contributes to the annual servicing of more than 2 million passengers throughout Kazakhstan, as well as the creation of over 5,000 jobs in related industries. In addition, as part of its social responsibility, the company annually donates buses to schools and kindergartens.

The journalists' visit was part of the international program "Journey in Search of Yutong Values 2025", aimed at promoting sustainable transport and exchanging experiences between countries participating in the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. Kazakhstan, as the country where this initiative was first announced, remains a key partner of the PRC in Central Asia.
