The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Armanata Nasir. The talks took place in Dushanbe on the sidelines of the International High-Level Conference on Glacier Conservation. This was reported on Thursday by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Tajik-Indonesian cooperation, noting the need to intensify bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Particular attention was paid to expanding trade and economic ties, developing partnerships in the fields of education, culture and ecology, including issues of sustainable water resource management and environmental protection.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on current issues on the international and regional agenda, emphasizing the importance of coordinating efforts at international platforms on issues related to climate change and sustainable development.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and a desire to further strengthen the traditionally friendly ties between the two countries.
