On May 21, 2025, a ceremonial event dedicated to the Youth Day of Tajikistan was held in the assembly hall of Secondary School No. 7 in Istaravshan. The event was attended by education workers, as well as the head of Istaravshan Adham Mamurzoda, the press service of the city administration reports .
At the beginning of the event, the attendees were shown the achievements of the school's students and teachers, and were also presented with an updated class for preparing for military service. Then the ceremonial part was opened with the performance of the National Anthem of Tajikistan.
In his welcoming speech, the head of the city, Adham Mamurzoda, congratulated everyone on the upcoming Youth Day and noted the importance of education as one of the priority areas of Tajikistan's state policy. He emphasized that specific measures and projects are being implemented to improve the material and technical base and learning conditions in the city's educational institutions.






In particular, in the 2024-2025 academic year, 64 students from Istaravshan took part in republican subject Olympiads, 39 of them became prize winners, including 2 first places with gold medals, 4 second places with silver and 33 third places with bronze awards. Moreover, 171 students represented the city at international Olympiads, where 104 medals were won.
Special attention was paid to encouraging young teachers. At the initiative of the city executive body and the education department, the city competition "Best Young Teacher" was held for the first time. 79 young teachers took part in the competition in 8 nominations, 22 of whom became winners.
The number of language centers that help develop language skills in young people and teenagers has also increased significantly in the city. Thus, 10 students from the Oxford language center participated in the international language Olympiad this year and received the corresponding certificates.








As part of the celebration, the head of the city presented letters of gratitude, certificates and valuable gifts to the winners of the competition and the best teachers.
The event ended with a performance by the creative group of Secondary School No. 7, which presented a rich cultural program.
