During targeted preventive measures, employees of the OMVD-1 of the Firdavsi district of Dushanbe detained 31-year-old resident of the Rudaki district, Akbaralieva Anora, on suspicion of carrying out occult activities. This was reported by the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Dushanbe.
According to the investigation, the woman had been practicing fortune telling and witchcraft for some time using various objects, including harmala (an herb used in rituals), scissors, a mirror, locks, keys, threads, dry tea and salt. It was revealed that during her rituals she misled citizens, promising to solve their personal and everyday problems.

The police drew up an administrative protocol against the offender under Article 482 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan ("Engagement in Prohibited Activities"). The case materials were transferred to the Firdavsi District Court for an appropriate decision.
Law enforcement agencies have called on citizens to refrain from contacting people who practice magical or psychic services, as such actions can not only cause harm to mental and material well-being, but also result in administrative and criminal liability.
