As Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection of Tajikistan Loik Rahmonzoda noted, our country aims to integrate climate measures into all sectors of the economy, strengthen the scientific and institutional base, and expand access to climate financing. At the same time, emphasis was placed on the rapid melting of glaciers as one of the acute problems of the region.
The Tajik side invited conference participants to the International High-Level Conference on Glacier Conservation, which will be held on May 29–31 in Dushanbe.
The forum includes thematic sessions and discussions on climate finance, green technologies, civil society engagement and coordination of efforts by countries in the region.
