On June 30, the Chairman of the city of Gissar Nosirzoda Jabbor held a visiting meeting in the cotton fields with the participation of deputies, specialists of the Department of Agriculture and heads of agricultural cooperatives. This was reported by the press service of the city administration.
The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the current state of cotton crops and provide practical assistance to farmers in matters of agricultural technology. As part of the inspection visit, the head of the city visited the jamoats of Somon, Dekhkonobod and the village of Sharora.
The first point of the route was the fields of the Somon jamoat. Here, as it was established, agricultural activities were carried out with violations. There was a lag in irrigation, fertilization and inter-row cultivation.
The Chairman of Gissar gave instructions to promptly eliminate the shortcomings. Responsible employees of the agricultural department and the relevant deputy head of the city were instructed to strengthen control over the situation.
The next object was the plot of the collective farm of Latif Murodov in the jamoat of Dehkonobod, where cotton was sown under film. Despite the fact that such technology was used here for the first time, the growth of the plants was considered satisfactory.
As noted by an experienced foreman who has worked in the industry for over 30 years, the new method allows for a reduction in labor costs: three workers are capable of caring for 20 hectares of a field. The chairman praised the result and recommended scaling up the approach in other farms.
In the village of Sharora Nosirzoda Jabbor got acquainted with the state of cotton fields, the progress of grain harvesting and preparations for re-sowing. He also checked the improvement works in the Sugdiyon quarter, where he gave instructions on improving the sanitary condition of the territory.
The working day of the city chairman in the settlement of Gissar ended, where he inspected the progress of repairs to traffic lights at the intersection of Abdurauf Yusufov Street. Repairmen were instructed to ensure proper quality and complete the work as soon as possible.
Farmers and farm managers highly appreciated the initiative of on-site consultations and called such meetings useful for exchanging experience and improving agricultural technology. The authorities of Gissar confirmed their commitment to the course of developing agriculture with a focus on introducing modern approaches to crop production.
