On June 30, a regular meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the Government of the country Emomali Rahmon. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management Sulton Rahimzoda presented a report on the Strategy for Attracting Investments to Tajikistan for the Period up to 2040. As the speaker noted, the strategy provides for long-term guidelines for state investment policy and is aimed at improving the investment climate, expanding entrepreneurship and attracting investment, especially foreign direct investment. The document includes measures to develop public-private partnerships and stimulate business activity.
The President instructed the relevant ministries, departments and local executive authorities to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the strategy and its action plan within the framework of the provided funding.
The Government's work plan for the second half of 2025 was also considered. The head of state emphasized the need for timely submission of draft resolutions and the adoption of measures for the high-quality preparation of national and international events. Following the discussion, a corresponding resolution was adopted.
Other issues at the meeting included approval of a number of draft legislative acts. In particular, draft laws on amendments and additions to the Code of Execution of Criminal Punishments, the law "On the Legal Status of Military Personnel" and the law "On Assistance to Employment of the Population" were supported and sent to the lower house of parliament.
The government also reviewed the forecast of the main macroeconomic indicators for 2026–2028, prepared as part of the implementation of the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan until 2030 and state programs for the socio-economic development of the regions.
The plan for implementing the Cinematography Development Program for 2023–2027 in terms of activities planned for 2026 was also approved.
At the end of the meeting, President Emomali Rahmon gave a number of instructions concerning the improvement of territories, rational use of electricity, preparation for the autumn-winter period, the beginning of the new school year and a worthy celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of Tajikistan.
