The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin was received by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov as part of an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the head of Tajik diplomacy conveyed warm greetings and good wishes from the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The parties noted the positive dynamics of the development of Tajik-Kyrgyz relations, emphasizing that thanks to the political will of the leaders of the two states, bilateral cooperation demonstrates a steady tendency to reach a new, higher quality level.
During the conversation, key areas of cooperation were discussed, including trade and economic partnership, humanitarian and cultural exchanges, as well as interaction in border areas.
President Sadyr Japarov recalled that in March of this year, a historic Treaty on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border was signed. In this context, he emphasized the importance of intensifying ties between the regions of the two countries and expanding practical cooperation.
In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan confirmed his readiness to further expand cooperation in all priority areas, including economics, trade, culture and security.
The parties expressed mutual interest in strengthening trust and sustainable partnership on a bilateral and regional basis.
