On the initiative of the National Bank of Tajikistan in cooperation with financial and credit institutions, insurance organizations and development partners, the next financial literacy festival was held in the city of Tursunzade on June 25, 2025, the press department of the National Bank of Tajikistan reports.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Daler Murodalizoda and Chairman of the city of Tursunzade Parviz Akramzoda noted the importance of financial literacy, the need to increase financial awareness of the population and its role in the economic development of the country.
It was noted that holding financial literacy festivals is not only an educational event, but also a convenient opportunity to communicate with experts, exchange experiences and get acquainted with new financial instruments.
In the first part of the festival, specialists from the National Bank of Tajikistan, insurance organizations, as well as payment and transfer systems, spoke on various topics, including: "Development of Islamic banking in Tajikistan", "Prevention of financial fraud", "The role of financial organizations in increasing the level of financial literacy of the population", "The importance of non-cash payments" and "Prospects for digitalization of the insurance system in the Republic of Tajikistan". The participants of the event were familiarized with modern experience in these areas. The event also included a question and answer competition, active participants of which were awarded memorable gifts.
The second part of the event took place in the square in front of Kokhi Dusti and was dedicated to the exhibition of products of financial and insurance organizations of the country. Financial, credit and insurance institutions presented their services and products to the festival audience.
The final part featured a vibrant cultural program with the participation of famous artists of the country, as well as a prize drawing competition based on questions on financial knowledge, which made the atmosphere of the festival even more festive.
We remind you that financial literacy festivals are held within the framework of the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022–2026. Their goal is to increase the level of financial awareness of the population, expand access to financial and insurance services, as well as familiarize with such services and their provision.
