The Chairman of the Sughd Region, Rajabboy Akhmadzoda, during an inspection visit, got acquainted with the progress of construction of a number of facilities in the city of Khujand, which are being built in honor of the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the regional administration.
In particular, the head of the region visited the construction site of the administrative building of the Executive Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan (PDPT) in the Sughd region. The new facility is being built on the instructions of the Chairman of the PDPT Emomali Rahmon on Kamoli Khujandi Street. The project provides for the construction of a 7-storey building with a basement, which will house more than 90 offices, a conference hall for 200 people, small halls, a library, an archive and a canteen. Currently, work in the basement has been completed, and construction of the upper levels is ongoing.
Akhmadzoda stressed the need for strict adherence to construction standards and the quality of the materials used. He also noted the importance of the facility for the development of the party's organizational activities, which unites almost 195 thousand people in the region, of which over 25 thousand are residents of the city of Khujand.
Then the regional chairman visited the construction site of an additional building of Khujand Gymnasium No. 1, designed for 1,400 students. The building will include 5 floors and a basement. The construction is being carried out by five local contractors. It is planned that the facility will be commissioned by Independence Day.
In addition, Akhmadzoda inspected the progress of construction work at other anniversary sites – multi-story residential buildings and an underground pedestrian crossing on Ismoili Somoni Avenue. The head of the region gave a number of instructions to speed up the pace of improvement and complete construction on time.
