59 foreign students have been expelled from the Ishenaly Arabaev Kyrgyz State University, Sputnik reports, citing the State Committee for National Security.
It was established that a number of foreign students officially enrolled in the educational institution were actually absent from the country and did not take part in the educational process.
A case was opened under Article 346 "Official Forgery" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. A commission inspection was conducted, which confirmed the violations.
Among the expelled students, 30 were citizens of Uzbekistan, 20 were citizens of Kazakhstan, and 9 were citizens of Russia.
The State Committee for National Security continues investigative and operational measures to identify individuals from among the teaching and administrative staff of KSU who are involved in these violations.
