The National Day of Tajikistan, which coincided with the celebration of National Unity Day, was solemnly celebrated within the framework of the EXPO 2025 exhibition with a cultural program and the participation of representatives from various countries. The official ceremony was attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Khokim Kholikzoda and the General Commissioner of the exhibition from Japan Koji Haneda.
In his speech, Khokim Kholikzoda noted the strategic achievements and development prospects of Tajikistan, including the global initiatives of President Emomali Rahmon, as well as the country's rich water resources, green energy potential, investment opportunities, tourist attractiveness and environmentally friendly products.
The International Exhibition "EXPO – 2025" started on April 13 and will last until October 13, 2025. More than 160 countries and 9 international organizations are participating in it. The theme of the exhibition is "Designing the Future Society for Us", which includes three key areas: "Preserving Life", "Strengthening Life" and "Connecting Life".
The Tajikistan pavilion, entitled “Glaciers and Water Sources – for Saving Lives and a Sustainable Future,” is decorated in a national style and equipped with modern exhibition technologies, including 3D virtual reality glasses. Visitors are presented with materials demonstrating initiatives to preserve glaciers and water resources, climate programs, products of the industrial and agricultural sectors, as well as national crafts, ornamental stones, and souvenirs.
Of particular interest is the model of the Vanjah (Fedchenko) glacier, the world's largest glacier outside the polar regions, 77 kilometers long and located at an altitude of 6,974 meters above sea level. The opportunity to see the country's natural beauty in 3D is of great interest to visitors.
The average daily attendance of the Tajikistan pavilion is about 25 thousand people. Over the first 76 days, the exhibition was visited by more than 9.3 million people and by its end the number of guests is expected to exceed 28 million.
