Farmers of dehkan farms of rural jamoat Khalifa Hasani of Penjikent city demonstrate successful experience of growing early potatoes with high yield, which confirms the possibility of obtaining a high-quality harvest in the climatic conditions of the region. This was reported by the press service of the city.
In the spring of 2025, early potatoes were planted on an area of 74 hectares in the dehkan farms of the Khalifa Hasani jamoat. Currently, the harvest is actively continuing. During a visit to the potato harvesting site in the Kavola area, Penjikent Mayor Abduholik Kholikzoda noted that the average yield is from 300 to 350 centners per hectare.
Traditionally, after harvesting potatoes, farmers reuse the same plots to sow carrots, turnips, radishes and other vegetables. This agricultural technology allows for two harvests per year, which significantly increases the income of agricultural producers.
It is noted that this year early potatoes have been planted on an area of about 215 hectares in Penjikent's dehkan farms. Harvesting continues in other areas of the city.
The achievements of local farmers serve as an example of efficient agricultural production and contribute to the development of the region's agricultural sector.
