Employees of the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs detained 49-year-old resident of the capital Malokhat Avganova for engaging in prohibited activities – providing fortune telling services, the press service of the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs reported.
According to the agency, the woman had previously been brought to administrative responsibility for a similar offense. Despite this, she continued her activities, visiting private homes, stores, and work premises at the invitation of citizens.
"Avganova provided fortune telling services, 'opening paths' in professional and commercial activities, and 'improving' family relationships," the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified.
During operational and preventive measures, her activities were again documented. Based on the collected materials, an administrative protocol was drawn up against the offender under Article 482 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan – "Engagement in Prohibited Activities". The materials were sent to the court for further procedural decision.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds that such activities violate the law and may entail administrative or criminal liability.
