The Republic of Tajikistan welcomes the agreements reached on a ceasefire between the State of Israel and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This was stated in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, published on June 25.
The statement notes that Tajikistan has from the very beginning advocated a peaceful resolution to the conflict, which was accompanied by gross violations of international law and humanitarian principles.
“The Republic of Tajikistan expresses hope that the agreements reached will put an end to the armed confrontation and will become a solid basis for establishing sustainable and long-term peace throughout the Middle East,” the document says.
The Tajik Foreign Ministry stressed that sustainable peace is possible only through compliance with international law, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, and through open and inclusive dialogue.
Tajikistan once again confirmed its commitment to the policy of peace and security, advocating for the resolution of all international and regional disagreements exclusively by peaceful means.
