In Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, within the framework of the regional project “Improving Maternal and Child Health in Central Asia”, a regional training seminar on the topic “Women's Leadership in Healthcare” was held, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan reports.
It should be noted that this project is being implemented in cooperation with the Ministries of Health of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The regional seminar was attended by the Director of the State Institution "Republican Medical College" Shakhlo Ashurion, representatives of the Institute of Postgraduate Education of Healthcare and Social Protection Workers, the Republican Educational and Clinical Center for Nursing, the Center for Reproductive Health, as well as representatives of the primary health care network of the Rudaki districts and the city of Bokhtar.
The knowledge gained will enable specialists to improve obstetric care at the primary health care level.
It should be recalled that the training of the first modules of the seminar program took place online on March 17 and 19 of this year in Dushanbe, and was aimed at empowering women as leaders in the field of healthcare, managing work processes, expanding the rights of female doctors, and eliminating barriers in this area.
