On June 25, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with 100 orphans and children with disabilities from the Vanj and Darvaz districts in the Darvaz district and presented them with gifts, the press service of the head of state reported.
As noted, social protection of the population is one of the priority areas of the state's social policy, and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan takes timely measures for sustainable development and ensuring a better and more prosperous life for this vulnerable segment of society.
During the meeting, orphans and children with disabilities were treated to a rich dastarkhan, and were given clothing, financial assistance, and sweets.
Regular meetings with all orphans and people with disabilities indicate that they are always under the constant attention, care and support of the head of state. Let us recall that in order to improve the social conditions of orphans and people with disabilities, the country has adopted and is implementing a concept, strategy and sectoral state programs, and a favorable basis is being created for the gradual establishment of benefits and the provision of social assistance to orphans and people with disabilities.
During the conversation with the participants of the meeting, Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the Government of the country has taken orphans under its patronage and will create all the conditions for their good education and upbringing, as well as their maturation until they enter into independent life.
Thanks to the constant efforts of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to improve the standard and quality of life of people with disabilities, medical and social centers operate in the country, the services of which contribute to the intellectual, physical, emotional and cultural development of people with disabilities, and also sufficiently ensure their right to health, education, development and upbringing.
Emomali Rahmon, during a conversation with orphans and children with disabilities from Vanj and Darvaz districts, said that they should never feel helpless and should, using the available conditions and opportunities, master science and knowledge, work with technology, study foreign languages, master professions and crafts in order to serve their people and homeland in the future and deserve a decent life.
Today's meeting was described by the participants as evidence of the constant care and support of the country's government, and they linked Emomali Rahmon's fatherly instructions with their dreams and plans.
