On June 25, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the village of Umarak, Kalai Khumb village, Darvaz district, commissioned an agro-industrial complex of a livestock farm, including dairy goats, rabbits, and a workshop for processing dairy products, the press service of the head of state reported.
The agro-industrial complex was built by patriotic entrepreneurs on the basis of the limited liability company “Innovative Industrial and Technological Park of the Darvaz District” on an area of half a hectare.
The projected cost of the agro-industrial complex is 4 million 500 thousand somoni.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon first commissioned a dairy goat farm.
The dairy goat farm was reported to be designed for 140 heads. Currently, the farm is raising 92 dairy goats from Belarus and the Zafarabad district of the Sughd region.
The farm's capacity is 72 tons of milk per year and the production of meat products.
Since the start of operations, 10 local residents have been employed there.
The dairy goat farm is equipped with advanced innovative technological equipment. Technological equipment for watering and feeding, prevention and breeding of livestock, cleaning of premises and milking equipment are produced in Italy and the People's Republic of China.
Emomali Rahmon also got acquainted with the process of breeding rabbits in the agro-industrial complex.
It is worth noting that rabbit meat contains a large amount of protein, is tasty and dietary. This farm was supplied with 100 rabbits of the French breed Hicol, which is a highly productive meat breed, from the French Republic.
The launch of rabbit breeding in this agro-industrial complex is being carried out within the framework of the implementation of the “Program for the Development of the Rabbit Breeding Industry in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022-2026” and lays the foundation for providing the population with dietary meat and expanding this highly profitable branch of agriculture.
The head of state gave instructions and directions on the development of new, highly productive breeds of rabbits, the introduction of intensive breeding technology, and the increase in the number of valuable rabbit fur in the country. Here, Emomali Rahmon also commissioned a milk processing plant.
The dairy processing plant receives raw materials from the dairy goat farm of the agro-industrial complex and produces a wide range of products such as cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, milk, cream, in compliance with standard requirements and high quality. The production of cheese from goat milk was carried out according to Italian methods. As already mentioned, from a medical point of view, the consumption of goat milk and dairy products from it is beneficial to the human body.
This workshop provides jobs for 7 local residents.
The agro-industrial complex of the livestock farm, including the breeding of dairy goats, rabbit breeding and a workshop for processing dairy products, was created with the aim of creating new jobs and expanding employment, which follows from the “National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030”, and functions to provide the population with high-quality meat and dairy products that are environmentally friendly.
