The founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov said that the heirs to his fortune of almost 14 billion dollars will be more than 100 children, of whom he is the father, the BBC reports.
"They are all my children, and they all have the same rights! I don't want them to tear each other apart after my death," Durov said in an interview with the French publication Le Point .
He said he was the "official father" of six children by three different women. But he added that the clinic where "I started donating sperm 15 years ago to help a friend told me it had sired more than 100 children in 12 countries."
The tech entrepreneur, who decided to leave Russia, also told the publication that his children will not have access to the inheritance for 30 years.
“I want them to live like normal people, to build themselves, to learn to rely on themselves, to be able to create, and not depend on a bank account,” he said.
The BBC also approached Durov for comment. The 40-year-old billionaire responded that he had already made a will because his work “involves risks – defending freedom creates many enemies for you, including very powerful countries.”
The Telegram messenger created by Durov has more than a billion active users monthly.
