On June 17-19, the second staff talks on the organization and conduct of a joint exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces "Indestructible Brotherhood-2025" and a special exercise with a joint formation of the CSTO NBC protection and medical support "Barrier-2025" were held in the Republic of Tajikistan, conducted at the final stage of the joint operational-strategic exercise "Combat Brotherhood-2025", the CSTO press service reports.
The event was attended by representatives of interested ministries and departments of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center, the CSTO Secretariat and a group of officers from the Joint Staff of the Organization, headed by Major General Ilkhomjon Hafizzoda.
During the staff talks, the concepts of the exercises, the composition of the command and national contingents, the procedure for playing out practical actions, as well as issues of organizing comprehensive support were reviewed and agreed upon.
Participants in the staff talks conducted reconnaissance of the area where the exercises were being held at the Fakhrabad training ground.
During the joint exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces "Indestructible Brotherhood-2025" and the special exercise with the joint formation of the CSTO NBC protection and medical support "Barrier-2025" to be held in October of this year in the Republic of Tajikistan, it is planned to work out issues of conducting a peacekeeping operation by the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces and eliminating sources of biological threats. The active phase of the exercise "Indestructible Brotherhood-2025" will be held in a combined format with the final stage of the joint anti-terrorist exercise of the competent authorities of the CIS member states "Commonwealth Anti-Terror-2025".
