This year, farmers in Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadoni district are growing vegetables and other crops on 13,375 hectares of arable land. Currently, farmers in the district are busy harvesting a rich crop of potatoes, onions, beets, as well as watermelons and other products. Farmers in the district reported a rich harvest of watermelons, NIAT Khovar reports.
As the agency was informed by the Executive Authority of the State Authority of the Hamadoni District, this year the first early watermelons were harvested in the district, which entered the consumer market of the country.
Resident of the rural community of Chubek Khoksor Djumakhonov is growing various types of agricultural products on 25 hectares of land this year. In particular, he planted early watermelons, wheat, various vegetables and cotton on his farm.
The area is currently undergoing work to loosen the soil between the rows of cotton and apply mineral fertilizers. It is noted that the cotton is growing in good condition due to the use of high-quality seeds.
The district pays special attention to re-seeding, and vegetables, legumes and corn are grown on cleared fields. Farmers also pay great attention to the wide use of existing opportunities and increasing the production of competitive export products.
