The Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahim Saidzoda held an official meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Tajikistan York Schugraff. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation in science and education. They noted a common interest in developing joint projects, exchanging experience, strengthening human resources, and introducing modern technologies into the education system.
Minister Rahim Saidzoda emphasized that the teaching of the German language is established at all levels of the country's educational system. The state and government of Tajikistan are taking comprehensive measures to create favorable conditions for young people and develop educational programs. Currently, about 200 Tajik students are studying in Germany, which is a relatively small figure compared to other European countries, the minister noted.
The parties expressed confidence that the existing potential for cooperation allows them to take interaction to a qualitatively new level. In particular, it was proposed to intensify direct cooperation between universities in Tajikistan and Germany in such priority areas as medicine, mechanical engineering and the agricultural sector.
In addition, the importance of scientific research cooperation in the field of green economy and environmental protection was emphasized during the meeting. German Ambassador York Schugraff highly appreciated the initiatives of the Tajik leadership to preserve glaciers and fresh water resources, noting their significant contribution to the global environmental movement.
The meeting took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen bilateral relations and implement joint initiatives in the field of science and education.
