The Chairman of Khatlon region Davlatali Said visited Shahritus district as part of a working trip, where he got acquainted with the development of agriculture, the preparations for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and the implementation of industrial projects. This was reported by the press service of the regional administration.
In the rural jamoat named after Talbak Sadriddinov, the head of the region visited the farms named after Ismoili Somoni and "Khurshed", where he got acquainted with the state of cotton crops and other agricultural crops. According to local farmers, this season, cotton was sown using film technology, which should ensure a high yield. In addition to cotton, corn and other crops are also grown in the fields. All sown areas are used efficiently, and the condition of agricultural land is assessed as stable.
The head of the region inspected the warehouses for storing early onion crops and noted significant success in harvesting the produce: 385 tons of early onions have already been harvested in the region. Davlatali Said instructed to establish cooperation with entrepreneurs in order to organize the export of vegetable products to foreign markets.
During the visit, special attention was paid to the implementation of programs within the framework of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the country's independence. In particular, the chairman of the region got acquainted with the progress of construction of a poultry farm designed to keep 30 thousand heads of poultry. The responsible bodies were instructed to complete the project within the established deadlines and in compliance with all construction and sanitary standards.
In addition, the head of the region visited the construction site of a cotton processing plant, the design capacity of which will be 13 thousand tons of raw materials per season. After launch, the enterprise will increase the efficiency of processing agricultural products in the region. Also, a project is being implemented in the region to build a plant for the production of building materials, which will open up new opportunities for local production and create jobs.
The regional chairman emphasized the need for strict adherence to construction standards and project implementation deadlines. He emphasized that the measures being implemented contribute to the socio-economic development of the region, improving the standard of living of the population and creating new jobs.
