A traffic accident involving two vehicles occurred on the 127th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Chanak highway, the IRS branch reports .
According to preliminary data, seven people were injured in the collision between Mercedes and Opel cars. Fortunately, there were no casualties. All victims received the necessary first aid at the scene, including thanks to the prompt actions of the IRS branch employees.
The organization emphasized that tragic consequences were avoided thanks to heavy protective parapets installed along the road section, each weighing more than 2.5 tons. They prevented vehicles from falling into the river from the cliff.
As specified by IRS, the company systematically implements measures to ensure road safety, including the installation of protective barriers at accident-prone sections. Such parapets have repeatedly saved the lives of road users in the past.
