The Russian shelling of Kremenchug is a spit in the face of the world community's efforts to end the war against Ukraine.
This was stated in an evening video address by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to him, the occupiers deliberately attacked the city's energy infrastructure with cruise, ballistic and aeroballistic missiles. The occupiers also used Iranian drones of the "Shahed" type, and managed to shoot down a significant number of targets:
"People were not hurt. But, unfortunately, there is damage to energy infrastructure. And this is a Russian spit in the face of everything the international community is trying to do to stop this war. Right after Putin's conversation with Trump. After the Americans asked us not to hit Russian energy facilities. And when Putin himself is trying to portray himself as a mediator for the Middle East and is trying to somehow help his accomplices in Tehran."
The President recalled that Ukraine is losing people every day, while the war could have ended long ago, “if the world had reacted to Russia in a principled manner and had not bought into its manipulations and lies.”
Shelling of Kremenchuk
Let us recall that on the night of June 15, the Russian Federation carried out a massive attack on Kremenchuk , using missiles and drones. The Internet called it one of the largest attacks on the city during the entire full-scale war.
Energy and agricultural infrastructure facilities were attacked, and residential buildings and vehicles were damaged. According to official data, there were no casualties.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the world to impose the strongest sanctions against the Russian Federation and to help Ukraine defend itself against the aggressor. "Russia cannot be stopped by words alone. It understands only the language of force," the statement said.
