The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Tajikistan held an award ceremony for the winners of the photo contest "Symbol of Friendship between China and Tajikistan – the Government Building and the Parliament Building of Tajikistan", organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China jointly with the State Information Agency of Tajikistan "Khovar".
Dozens of photographers and photography enthusiasts from all over Tajikistan took part in the competition. The jury selected 24 winners, including professional photojournalists, government employees, creative people and members of the public. The winners were awarded diplomas, memorable prizes and gratitude from the organizers.
The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Tajikistan, Mr. Ji Shumin, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ashurboy Solehzoda, Deputy Director of NIAT "Khovar" Rasul Majidzoda, finalists of the competition and representatives of Tajik and Chinese media.
In his welcoming speech, Mr. Ji Shumin emphasized the special symbolism of the buildings of the parliament and government of Tajikistan, built with the assistance of the PRC, and noted that they have become a vivid example of fruitful cooperation between the two countries. He recalled that in July 2024, the buildings were solemnly opened by the Chairman of the PRC Xi Jinping and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and since then have become the architectural calling card of the capital.
According to the Ambassador, the buildings embody not only architectural and engineering excellence, but also the values of friendship, harmony, reliability and the desire for common development. He also expressed gratitude to the organizers of the competition and the photographers who captured the buildings in their aesthetic and symbolic significance.
Competition laureates:

1st place was won by Didor Sadulloev, a photographer from the Executive Body of State Authority of Dushanbe.

2nd place was awarded to Tokhirjon Saidov (NIAT Khovar), Aminjon Azimov (Orienbank, former photographer of the President), and Nakib Murodzoda (personal photographer of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan).

Third place was awarded to 6 participants, including representatives of the media, government agencies and medical institutions.

In addition, 13 people were awarded Certificates of Honor , including representatives of the Confucius Institute, education, culture and media workers.
The photo contest not only became a platform for revealing the creative potential of Tajik citizens, but also contributed to strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between the two friendly countries.
According to the participants, the buildings that became the objects of the competition are truly inspiring in their architectural style, and the competition itself allowed them to express through the lens of a photographer respect for the historical friendship between Tajikistan and China.
The ceremony ended with a group photo session, friendly communication and the presentation of memorable gifts.
