The qualifying tournament for the 2026 Asian Futsal Cup will be held in the capital of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan (FFT).
According to the decision of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the qualifying round matches will be held in eight countries – Tajikistan, Thailand, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia, Myanmar, Malaysia and China. A total of 31 national teams will take part in the qualifying stage.
As specified by the FFT, as a result of the draw, which will take place on June 26, eight groups will be formed: seven of them will include four teams, and one – three teams. Qualifying matches will be held from September 20 to 24.
The winners of all eight groups, as well as the seven teams with the best second-place finishes, will advance to the finals of the tournament, which will be held from January 27 to February 7, 2026 in Indonesia.
The national team of Tajikistan, participating in the qualifying round, will hold its matches in Dushanbe. Organizing matches on the home arena will be an important stage in the development of futsal in the republic and strengthening its position in the international arena.
