Citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran are exempt from mandatory registration with the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan for up to 30 days from the date of entry into the country. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
According to the amendments made to the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated May 29, 2025 No. 324 and Resolution No. 207 dated March 31, 2020 "On the rules for entry, stay and exit from the Republic of Tajikistan of foreign citizens and stateless persons and their transit through the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan", paragraph 24 is supplemented by the provision: "The Islamic Republic of Iran – for a period of 30 days."
Thus, Iranian citizens arriving in Tajikistan are no longer required to undergo registration procedures during the first month of their stay.
Let us recall that since August 10, 2024, a visa-free regime agreement has been in effect between Tajikistan and Iran. It is based on the Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of the two countries on the abolition of visa requirements for holders of general civil passports.
The measures taken are aimed at further developing friendly relations, as well as simplifying the conditions for the stay of Iranian citizens in Tajikistan.
