President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum. This was reported by the press service of the head of the Uzbek state.
At the beginning of the conversation, the Prime Minister of Tajikistan conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to Shavkat Mirziyoyev from the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
The parties discussed issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Tajik strategic partnership, increasing trade and economic cooperation and expanding cooperation ties in key sectors such as industry, energy, electrical engineering, textiles and agriculture.
Particular attention was paid to the intensification of humanitarian exchanges, interregional contacts, and the development of a new economic agenda for bilateral partnership. The importance of developing effective measures to increase the volume of mutual trade and expand cross-border cooperation was noted.
As the administration of the President of Uzbekistan emphasized, a high level of multifaceted cooperation has been achieved between the two countries, and the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level remains a priority on the bilateral agenda.
