The free economic zones "Sughd" (Republic of Tajikistan) and "Voronezh" (Russian Federation) signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing trade and economic ties, creating joint ventures and expanding investment cooperation. This was reported by the press service of the Executive Authority of the State Authority of the Sughd Region.
The documents were signed during the visit of the delegation of the Sughd Region to the Voronezh Region. In addition to the agreements between the free economic zones, similar agreements were reached between the chambers of commerce and industry of the two regions.
During the visit, the Tajik delegation became familiar with the activities of a number of leading industrial and logistics facilities in the region, including distribution warehouses of the Pyaterochka supermarket chain, the Global Drinks beverage production company, the Kobil Group company, and the Maslenitsa food producer.
During the negotiations, the parties expressed their readiness to establish joint production and expand the supply of Tajik products to the Russian market. In particular, a preliminary agreement was reached on a visit by a working group of the Pyaterochka company to the Sughd region to assess the possibilities for establishing direct purchases of agricultural products and other goods.
The signed agreements, as noted, create a solid basis for the practical implementation of investment projects, strengthening logistics links and stimulating mutual trade between regions.
