On June 5, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a congratulatory telegram to the President-elect of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae-myung, the press service of the head of state reported.
The telegram reads:
"Your Excellency,
I have the honor to express to you our sincere congratulations on your victory in the election of the President of the Republic of Korea.
Your election to this high post is, first of all, evidence of the people’s trust in the policy you have chosen to ensure sustainable socio-economic development of the country.
We regard the Republic of Korea as our important partner in the international arena.
Strengthening and expanding friendly relations and multifaceted constructive cooperation with it is the focus of our constant attention.
Noting with satisfaction the current level and content of cooperation between the two countries, I emphasize the readiness of the Tajik side to further advance this process in accordance with the fundamental interests of our peoples.
