Prospects for expanding interregional cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation were discussed in the Tyumen region as part of an official visit by a delegation from the Sughd region. As reported by the press service of the regional administration, a meeting was held in the government building between the Chairman of the Sughd region Rajabboy Akhmadzoda and the Governor of the Tyumen region Alexander Moor.
The parties noted the progressive development of bilateral relations and the deepening of interregional cooperation.



Following the talks, special attention was paid to the industrial and agricultural potential of the Sughd region, the possibilities of creating joint ventures, including in the field of cotton and agricultural processing. Areas of cooperation in the fields of education, healthcare, tourism and culture were also discussed.
"Sughd Region has a developed infrastructure and high export potential. We are interested in expanding cooperation with Tyumen Region, especially in industry, logistics and processing of products," noted Rajabboy Akhmadzoda.
Aleksandr Moor, in turn, highly appreciated the pace of development of the economy of Sughd. "We see real opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation. The experience of the Sughd region in the agro-industrial sphere is of practical interest to the region," the head of the Tyumen region emphasized.
During the visit, the Tajik delegation will visit leading social and industrial facilities in Tyumen, including a medical center, a technology park, Tyumen State University, industrial enterprises and tourism infrastructure facilities. The visit is aimed at activating direct ties between the regions and promoting joint initiatives in various fields.
