On May 28, 2025, the fifth working meeting of representatives of the justice sector was held at the site of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the issue of creating a Unified Electronic System for the Exchange of Information between the Ministries of Justice of the CIS Member States, the press service of the Executive Committee of the Organization reports.
The event was attended by representatives of the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Belarusian Notary Chamber and the Executive Secretary of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the CIS Member States.
The participants of the meeting reviewed and generally agreed on the draft Concept of the creation of a Unified Electronic System of Information Exchange between the Ministries of Justice of the CIS Member States, developed by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The purpose of this system is to increase the efficiency and productivity in the sphere of providing legal assistance to the population, as well as the efficiency of information exchange between the Ministries of Justice, Civil Registry Offices and Notaries of the CIS Member States.
As part of the discussion that took place, the draft Roadmap for the implementation of the Unified Electronic System for the Exchange of Information between the Ministries of Justice of the CIS Member States was also finalized and agreed upon.
Representatives of the justice sector noted that the development and operation of an interstate electronic system will create the necessary conditions for the development of cross-border electronic document management in the area of providing legal assistance in the Commonwealth.
The topic of digitalization of international legal assistance is recognized as the most relevant for the current stage of development of the sphere of justice of the CIS member states, the discussion of which will continue at the IV International Legal Forum "Tashkent Law Spring", held in Tashkent on May 29-30. The key topic of the Forum is "The Age of Digital Technologies: A Legal Look into the Future".
