Four new documents aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in various areas were signed in Dushanbe on Thursday following official talks between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda and the First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Muhammadrizo Arif, KHOVAR reports .
The parties also signed a joint declaration in which they expressed their intention to develop strategic partnership and deepen cooperation in the political, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian fields.





As specified by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the following documents were signed during the meeting:
— Memorandum of Understanding between the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Organization for International Scientific and Technological Cooperation under the Vice Presidency of Iran for Science and Technology. The document provides for the establishment of the Iran-Tajik Technology Center in Dushanbe;
— Additional agreement No. 2 to the contract for the supply of electricity between Barki Tojik OJSC and the management company of the Sangtuda-Sangob hydroelectric power station project, which will be another step towards energy cooperation between the two countries;
— Memorandum on cooperation in the field of labor and employment between the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Cooperation, Labor and Social Security of Iran. The document covers the exchange of experience in the field of professional training and social protection;
— Memorandum on railway cooperation between the State Unitary Enterprise “Rohi Ohani Tojikiston” and the Iranian Railways, providing for the use of Iranian wagons on Tajik railway routes.
The First Vice President of Iran arrived in Tajikistan on May 29. During the visit, he will take part in the International Conference on Glacier Protection and hold talks with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
