On May 28, 2025, the next meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was held in Bishkek, the press service of the Organization reported.
"On May 28, 2025, a meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CSTO member states was held in Bishkek. During the meeting, a plan for the development of military cooperation of the CSTO member states for 2026-2030 was reviewed and approved," the press service noted.
The meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers in Bishkek was attended by the heads of the defense departments of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, the Secretary General of the CSTO, as well as representatives of the secretariat and the Joint Staff of the organization.
The participants of the meeting discussed the military-political situation in the CSTO area of responsibility and exchanged opinions on the development of the collective security system. The main result of the meeting was the approval of four decisions defining the directions of military cooperation in the coming years.
In addition, the participants noted the high level of organization of the Victory Parade, which took place on May 9, 2025 in Moscow. It should be noted that military units from all CSTO countries took part in it.
