Consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic took place on May 27 in Dushanbe. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the consular services of the two countries. The Tajik delegation was headed by the head of the Main Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Bakhodur Safarzoda, the Kyrgyz side was headed by the director of the consular service department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhumakadyr uulu Seyitek.



During the consultations, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere. In particular, issues related to the legal protection and interests of citizens of both countries, simplification of procedures for the movement and stay of citizens, as well as other relevant aspects of cooperation in the consular and legal sphere were considered.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects for developing cooperation and coordinating the actions of consular departments in order to improve the efficiency of work with citizens in both countries.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further deepening bilateral dialogue, expanding partnerships and exchanging experience in the consular sphere. Following the consultations, an agreement was reached to continue regular meetings and maintain working contacts on an ongoing basis.
