Representatives of Tajikistan won three medals at the Asian Judo Cup among youth under 21, which ended in the capital of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Judo Federation of Tajikistan.
Victoria Kiseleva won the gold medal in the 78 kg weight category. This is the first such success in the history of Tajik women's judo at the level of youth Asian tournaments.
As experts note, this victory is of great importance for the promotion of women's judo in the country and could become an incentive for new achievements by athletes in the international arena.
Madina Kurbonzoda won the silver medal in the 52 kg weight category. This is the athlete's second international award in a short period of time – she previously became the champion in the cadet competition. Thus, 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most successful years in Madina's career.
Binyomin Nazirov, who competed in the 73 kg weight category, became the bronze medalist of the Asian Cup. He demonstrated confidence and technical skill in fights with strong opponents from other countries of the continent.
The 2025 Asian Cup in Tashkent was attended by 515 athletes from eight countries, including 343 men and 172 women.
Earlier, at the Asian Cup among cadets, Tajik athletes also demonstrated a high level of training: Madina Kurbonzoda won gold, Bobojon Sharopov won silver, and Abubakr Khudoiev won bronze.
