Potato harvesting has begun in the city of Levakant in Khatlon Region. According to the city's agricultural department, 300 to 350 centners of produce are currently being harvested from each hectare.
According to the chief specialist of the city's agricultural department Mirzoali Kalandarzoda, potatoes were planted on an area of 30 hectares this season. "At the moment, harvesting work has already been carried out on 60 percent of the area. Harvesting continues as planned," he noted.

According to him, favorable weather conditions and compliance with agricultural standards contributed to the high yield. The remaining crops are expected to be harvested in the coming days.
The regional authorities have taken measures to ensure uninterrupted transportation of potatoes to domestic markets, which should stabilize prices for the product and satisfy the needs of the population.
